Who is Alan Ballou

I am a servant and my service is free of charge to other disciples in keeping with 1 Peter 4:10-11. My promise to you is that I will speak according to what is written, like those who are sent by God to speak, and not with human wisdom or philosophy (Colossians 2:8). And the Word of God itself will work on the inside of those who believe it (1 Thessalonians 2:13), to turn them from evil (Jeremiah 23:22). Check the verses below.

Jeremiah 23:22
22 But if they had stood in My counsel, And had caused My people to hear My words, Then they would have turned them from their evil way And from the evil of their doings. NKJV

John 3:34
34 For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. NKJV

1 Thessalonians 2:4-6, 13-14
4 But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts. 5 For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak for covetousness — God is witness. 6 Nor did we seek glory from men, either from you or from others, when we might have made demands as apostles of Christ.
13 For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe. NKJV

If at some point you do not believe that I have spoken in accordance with what is actually written in the Bible I am using (New King James Version), please send the verse that I have violated and I will gladly change my mind and renew my mind with the truth.

Balaam was rebuked by a dumb donkey, how much more should we listen to anyone who speaks according to what is actually written in the Bible? However, many who sent correction in the past, did not speak in line even with the Bibles they were using. That is a definite sign that God did not send them to speak (Jeremiah 23:22, John 3:34). Therefore, please check to make sure that what you are saying is actually written in the Bible.

On top of that, those who correct should also be open to correction. The Sword of the Spirit swings both ways, my friend (Hebrews 4:12). We teach and admonish (warn) one another (Colossians 3:16). Iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).

Colossians 3:16
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. NKJV

Therefore, send the verse that I have spoken against if you can find one, assuming that you are indeed able to speak in accordance with what is written in your Bible, and it shall be considered a kindness (Psalm 141:5). However, if you cannot speak in accordance with your own Bible, be silent at the gate of the city, least you be found lacking and the prophets correct you (1 Cor 14:29).

What do I believe, and the verses to prove it

One of the first things people want to know is, “What do you believe?” Well, this is what I believe, and what everyone else, who believes in God, believes.

If it is written in the Bible, I believe it 100%, but if it is not written in the Bible, I do not accept it as God’s Word, or that it is “needed for the Christian life (2 Peter 1:3-4).

Why? First of all, those who believe God live by every Word of God and not just the verses they like to hear (Matthew 4:4, Deuteronomy 8:3), and God instructs us not to go beyond what is written, or add to His Word (verses below).

1 Corinthians 4:6
6 Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other. NKJV

Proverbs 30:5-6
5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. 6 Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar. NKJV

It’s easy to say “I believe God’s Word,” but if we believed God’s Word, would we knowingly violate the verses above? Who is Jesus calling a hypocrite in the verses below?

Matthew 15:7-9
7 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: 8 "These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. 9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'" NKJV

They say Jesus, Jesus , Jesus, but they teach the doctrines of men. That’s who Jesus is calling hypocrites, and so it is today. The cowardly, who do not teach the doctrine of obeying Jesus (John 14:21-24), or the doctrine of abiding in Jesus (John 15:1-6) for fear of their worldly followers leaving, twist the truth into all kinds of made-up words today.

If you are hearing all kinds of words that are not written in the Bible, know that it’s philosophy and we are warned not to allow anyone to cheat us through the use of philosophy. I will send the verses that prove what I am saying, and I will live accordingly.

Colossians 2:8-9
8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. NKJV

The Word of God itself contains everything a Christian needs, not only for this life (2 Peter 1:3-4), but also in order to stop sinning (Jeremiah 23:22). I will speak in accordance with what is written in the Bible, and I will stay away from anything that is not written. Therefore, you will not hear me use words like "trinity," or "go have a personal relationship," or anything else that man may come up with. If we believe the Word of God, we should speak the Word of God, in accordance with God’s instructions.

2 Corinthians 4:13
13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed and therefore I spoke," we also believe and therefore speak, NKJV

Romans 10:6-8
6 But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down from above) 7 or, "'Who will descend into the abyss?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): NKJV

So, when I say that I believe every Word of God, now you know what I mean. If it is written in the Bible, I will teach it to anyone who will receive it, but if it is not written in the Bible, the salt-less followers of 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (below) will continue to teach it to you, but they will not make it in the end. Cowards will burn in hell (Revelation 21:8, below).

Matthew 5:13
13 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. NKJV

2 Timothy 4:3-4
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. NKJV

Revelation 21:8
8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." NKJV

What is my background

Long story short, I was homeless at 17 years old. I’m a high school dropout. I was a drunk from my teens. I was caught up in every sin in the book, making a mess of everything I touched, and doing my best to straighten up in the flesh, until God called me at 33 years old. Praise God halleluiah.

He delivered me from sins that lead to death, in accordance with His Word. He continually molds me as I am willing to put to death whatever remains of my earthly nature (Colossians 3:5-9), and put on more of Him (Romans 13:12-14).

He put His Word in my mouth, and made me bold as a lion when I’m speaking it, although I could not face a crowd before without alcohol, and still can’t unless I’m talking about the Bible, or praising His marvelous works.

The Lord is great, awesome in power, and worthy of all our praise. He brings His Word to my thinking as I am listening to people speak, to the point that He has enabled me to list every verse that is violated during a sermon that I am listening to.

The Lord does His work in me, as I am obedient to His Word, and I’m sure He will do it in any willing vessel. I will show you the verses, so that you can learn them from your version of the Bible, and watch the Lord do a work in your life beyond what you think is possible. He is able (Ephesians 3:20)!

Truth and Myths about sin

According to 2 Timothy 4:3-4, in the last days people will not put up with sound doctrine, but they will surround themselves with teachers who will tell them what they want to hear. How are Christians supposed to be able to tell when they are hearing the truth?
